iCIS

iNTELLIGENT CITY INFORMATION SYSTEM

The software allows the control of street lighting systems and is extensible for smart city applications such as waste, parking and environmental management.

The software supports the interfaces of the iDC and iDC-IoT smart data concentrators.

Technical data such as current, voltage, power, power factor, energy consumption, temperature, burning hours and status messages of the individual components as well as the entire lighting system can be conveniently queried and displayed in a tree-like structure as well as graphically by city, district and street.

SYSTEM OVERVIEW

Communication between the software and the infrastructure is effected via the standardised internet protocol. As standard features, the protocol provides the basis for high availability and communication security, but also comes with the necessary investment protection thanks to the broad hardware support it ensures.

The web server (4) hosting the iCIS software can use any kind of transmission technology to complete the communication chain via the intelligent data concentrators iDC-IoT or iDC (3) in the field, which act as a gateway for communicating with the luminaire controllers (1 and 2). Examples of such transmission technology are fibre optics (SM/MM), GSM/GPRS, CAT5, DSL/ADSL, satellite connection, etc.

The software can be operated cloud-based or as an on-premise installation.

FUNCTIONS

Controls

  • On/Off
  • Dimming
  • RGBW
  • The iCIS can be used to control the luminaire controllers iLC, iPC, iPC-HD and future products.
  • The individual luminaire or luminaire groups can be be switched on and off.
  • Dimming can be freely adjusted between 0-100% with a slider.
  • RGBW luminaires can be easily adjusted via a colour wheel or by entering a value and an additional brightness controller.
Luminaire groups
  • Up to 255 luminaire groups with any number of luminaires can be formed.
  • A luminaire can only be assigned to one group.
LON profiles
  • Support of the mandatory part of the LON profile (based on the LonMark OLC profile 35.12.) to ensure interoperability of the devices.
  • In addition, the optional part of the LON profile of the iciti controllers is supported.
Visualisation
  • The following measurement data are displayed in tabular and graphic form: voltage, current, power, energy consumption, power factor, temperature, lighting hours, dimming state
Time-controlled switching
  • Definition of an astronomical calendar in consideration of the geographical latitude and longitude as well as the switching priorities for day and night operation.
  • Time-controlled switching of luminaire groups according to week, day, date and exceptions; set in up to 4 priority levels (level 1 overrides level 2, level 2 overrides level 3, level 3 overrides level 4).
Analysis
  • Detailed error analysis for each individual luminaire or as a clear display of error messages for all luminaires.
  • The selection or compilation of the error messages in the overview can be individually adapted, so that only the error messages that are important to you are displayed, that are important for you.
  • For data analysis, up to 8 arbitrary data points can be selected for a freely definable period of time and displayed both graphically and in tabular form. The graphical display can be zoomed by means of a mouse marker.
Filter & Updates
  • Data can be filtered in all areas (luminaire, street, district, city, etc.)
  • Carrying out of mass updates: Change multiple data for multiple luminaires at the same time
Geographical data
  • Readout of the geographical data stored in the controllers and display with exact coordinates
  • Automatic display of the location of the luminaire (controller) in OpenStreetMap
Alarm function
  • Handling of alarms incl. escalation functionality
  • Evaluation of all available data points for threshold values
  • Alarm manager with message dispatch via email
  • Monitoring of connection times
  • Control of escalation functionality via acknowledgement of alarm messages

FURTHER PRODUCT INFORMATION

  • Standardised communication based on EN 14908-10 (in preparation)
  • User administration with different user rights (multi-client capable)
  • Backup and restore functions
  • Security updates are carried out free of charge
  • Export of data as CSV file
  • An XML/SOAP interface is available for the iDC and a standardised REST/API interface according to ANSI/CTA 709.10 is available for the iDC-IoT
  • System log book integrated

  • Web hosting and support available as a separate service

SALES TEXT

Web-based software iCIS for the control and data evaluation of lighting installations based on the iDC and the iDC-IoT (intelligent data concentrators) is built with a tree structure. The software manages the control of individual luminaires and luminaire groups and is the basis for switching and dimming profiles as well as their energy consumption evaluation. The iCIS software is multi-client capable and offers numerous analysis, alarm and message functions that enable the reporting of occurring errors in various escalation levels. The software works according to the client-server principle. The software’s web-based user interface can be run either on the same computer as the server installation or on a separate computer.

TEXT FOR INVITATION TO TENDER

Web server application for the control and data evaluation of lighting installations based on the iDC and the iDC-IoT (intelligent data concentrator). The programme organises the lighting installation like a tree structure and also offers a visual representation of large amounts of data and data points. The general function structuring is carried out by means of tabs such as admin, luminaire, group, switching profile, message analysis, alarm function and energy evaluation, as well as the associated object-related sub-menus.

The application is multi-client capable and offers precise function restriction related to the object structure of the real company as well as external persons who are to be given access. The data point of a luminaire can be precisely mapped in a freely available map. Measurement data is available offline or online, depending on the operating status of the lighting installation. The log data are processed graphically and, thanks to the time stamp, also provide a quick analysis option in graphic form with the aid of curve, line or bar diagrams. It is possible to define an astronomical calendar taking in consideration of geographical data (latitude and longitude) as well as switching priorities for day and night operation to switch the lighting system at sunrise and sunset, define a switching offset to adapt to “civil dusk”, read out a defined astronomical calendar with the higher-level management programme and make the parameters visible.

Depending on the type of control devices in the lighting installation, the user of the software selects switching, dimming or RGBW control functions. The user selects the type of actual values to be monitored such as voltage, current, power, power factor, energy, device temperature, burning hour duration, accessibility of the devices and alarm states from the actual values.

The software user manual can be viewed directly from the software user interface.

With the Backup & Restore function of the software, backup copies of the customer projects can be created or used for recovery. Backup copies of the project configuration and measurement data can be made.

The software works according to the client-server principle. The web-based user interface of the software can be run either on the same computer as the server installation or on a separate computer.

The programme is offered for download and contains all components in the form of an installation routine. The programme is available for Microsoft OS (Windows 10 or newer) and Virtual Machine operation. A state-of-the-art PC should be available as a hardware requirement. Precise requirements regarding security should be clarified directly with the IT department.
